Bronze NNAS






Out on Dartmoor again with the Adventure students. Durting the day, they all lead a leg and following some theory questions back at school, passed the NNAS Bronze award.

Dartmoor Nav 2





Wow. What a day, blue sky, cold, clear and icy. Today we took Tuesday's skills forward and discovered new methods of navigating including Handrails, Aiming off and Attack Points.

Navigation Training


The Adventure Bac students headed out onto Dartmoor today with Mr Starks and Miss Lindsey for some navigation training in the snow that was left. The idea for today was to look at recognising features such as cairns, huts circles and cists as well as spurs and contours.

Ten Tors Training





Today 2 x 35 mile and 2 x 55 mile teams were out on the moor enjoying the snow and ice and getting some fitness training/weight carrying practice in.

The Outdoor Adventure Show





The Adventure Bac students teamed up with Marjons for a day at the Outdoor Adventure Shoe in London. A very long day out but worth the trip as amongst other things, they got to try out mixed/ice climbing on the artificial wall and also made their own carabiner at the DMM stand.

Sea Kayaking in Plymouth Sound

The Adventure Bac students headed out into Jennycliff bay for an introduction into sea paddling. As a result of this they have completed their 2 Star Paddlesport Award.
