A long but thoroughly worthwhile day out yesterday for the Discoverers Club. We headed to Mendip and explored the entrance series of Swildons Hole. It was a touch wetter that we anticipated so rather than heading to the abseil we left the stream way and climbed up and around the dry routes. Superb effort, particularly by those who had not been caving before!

Silver DofE go biking
On Friday one of the DofE teams got to know each other much better when we went for a blast around the trails at Plym Bridge. It turned out that it was't too muddy.

Bakers pit, again!
Still just as muddy, but with some stunning formations. Great to return to Bakers with the other half of the lower sixth group

Discoverers climbing at Dart Rock
We split the group up yesterday, and most of my group didn't turn up! The few of us that did had a great time climbing at Dart Rock. It is really interesting to see how the students are progressing, tying in and belaying are now second nature and they are really focusing on their climbing technique.

Great trip in Bakers Pit
We were a few students short with injuries or other appointments, but those that went out had a brilliant trip down Bakers Pit. We explored a significant amount of passage way and got thoroughly muddy in the process.
