A small band of motivated students headed out on Saturday morning to commemorate Operation Frankdon, more commonly known as the Cockleshell Hero's.
Launching from Jupiter Point we headed down the Tamar to Queen Anne Battery, pausing only for tea and biscuits at Barn Pool on the Mount Edgecombe estate.
It was cold enough in our drysuits and gave us a very small feel of what those courageous men did 75 years ago.
