Bronze D of E Reports
A few comments from last week
"This expedition was a really memorable experience for us. On the first day, we thought we can’t complete the whole expedition because we thought this was too tough for us. Although we knew it is hard, but we didn’t think of giving up. We tried our best and kept on walking step by step, no short cut, no cheating, from the start and walked to the end.
On the first day to the campsite, we got lost for a while but we picked up quickly to correct our mistake and we kept going. On the second day, we were totally lost but we didn’t think of blinding anyone, we helped each other out. We shared jokes to cheers others up.
Finally, we’ve done the whole expedition. Although we have climbed a double height, we have walked 3 extra miles that we shouldn’t climb and walk, but we all enjoyed the time. We have done a job which we thought we can’t and this was amazing. This was something that we couldn't complete by one person but we can complete by a group. This is why team spirit is important in an expedition like DofE".

"We have had a great yet tough week. It was really a challenge for us, not only because of the expedition, but also the preparation and the stay in white works. There were quite a lot of hard work living with 30 people, especially when there is not enough beds and just one shower! But we did enjoy most of the activities. The meals were so good as well, each group had in charge at least one meal, everyone of us did share the duty of looking after the house. We were so proud of ourselves that we made through the whole week. To relax ourselves from the tough walk, we shared cakes made by ourselves and have some music as entertainment. On the last day, we even went to the swimming pool~ The past week was just so amazing!!"
