Bread-tastic

Some of our Explorers went out this afternoon and had a go at fire lighting. We got one fire going really well, but lots was learnt by all and we had a go at making bread, which almost rose!! It was great to welcome Mrs Hayward along for the afternoon, even if she didn't want to eat any half cooked bread!

Great day on the moors

Sunny, very windy and an impressive hail storm were the order of the day on the moors yesterday. We also bumped into a Dartmoor Ranger who was retrieving a spent flare shell from previous military exercises.

It was a beautiful day out there

A stunning day out there so the Explorers club had a glorious walk over the tops and had a go at abseiling.

Only back for a day and already we're climbing the walls

We're getting used to a new camera so apologies for the slightly fuzzy photos. The Discoverers went climbing at Dart Rock yesterday evening. We had a split between those who were proficient and those who were new to it all. Everyone had a good number of times up the wall before getting completely finished on the bouldering wall and cave.

Great day to be out on the moor

We had a good turn out yesterday, I was the only group that took a camera so all the photos are of where I went! Stunning weather and well done to the girls who started to pick up the art of navigation.
