Today the Upper 6th students were out in the School RIB looking at risks involved with powerboating. Later on this term they will take the Level 2 Powerboat Course.
This weekend the boarding prefects headed to whiteworks for a training weekend. They spent Saturday morning doing some team building activities before planning an activity to run for the younger boarders on Sunday afternoon. In the evening they
Welcome to Mr Rees who joins us this year in the role of Assistant head of Outdoor Education. He is a big caving enthusiast and holds the Cave Instructor Certificate, the highest caving qualification in the UK. Mr Rees is also a Mountain Leader and a qualified kayaking, canoeing, biking and climbing Instructor.
Well done to both teams for completing their Gold expedition. The last two days have been somewhat wetter than the first but not enough to dampen the students spirits.
Back up in The Lake District again with 2 teams for their assessed Gold expedition. Two days down, the weather has been kind to us and the teams are making good time.
