L6 Residential

Last night the L6 students on the Sports Bac went to Whiteworks for the night for one of the units they cover.  In the afternoon students undertook a range of challenges to gain clues to help them with their walk out this morning.  This morning we were greeted with clear blue skys for our walk out to Norsworthy Bridge via Nuns Cross and Down Tor.

We had four groups out today, some groups were rained on at times but the group I was with was blessed with sunshine all day.  Well done to all those who were out.

Upper 6th Gorge Walk in the Plym at the Dewerstone

Depleted numbers today but those that attended had brilliant, if chilly, time; lurching from eddy to eddy and rock to rock. We had the occasional swim from some members, and more continuous swims from others, but found plenty of jets to slide down and finished with a waterfall we could get behind.

Gold DofE assessment, North Wales

This week six students ventured to the Rhinogs in North Wales to undertake their assessed expedition for their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.  All students performed exceptionally well taking the wind, rain, early starts and dark evenings in their stride successfully completing their expedition.  Well done and congratulations to all students involved.
