A short session today practicing leading games


Not quite the weather we were after, but we had a good time on the water playing many, many games back to back and fitted a lot into a short session

This afternoon the L6 students practised rescues in the warm of the pool before practising them outside after half term.

For our first session we went to Alder Lake  to remember how the boats work and to practice games ahead of the Grand Day Out with the lower school.

Sunshine but a little wind greeted the Deputy Head who came out today for our first foray this term with the racing boats, we only had one fall in - remarkably still managing to keep his hair dry!

First Paddle of the Summer for the Paddling Club



 
 
All the students did very well even though the wind did its best to blow us to Kingsand, but we managed to find some shelter in the end. We looked at the different types of boats we will be using in the term and practiced falling out of them! All looking forwards to the Sea Kayak trip next week...
